2026-27 IGNITE VB Tryout/Evaluation Info
Get excited!!! It’s almost time for club tryouts and we’ve got some VERY EXCITING things planned for this upcoming club season!!! We are looking forward and ready to IGNITE some awesome players and teams during this great VB club season!!! Tryouts are also used for team placement. We do have cuts, but we try very hard not to cut in our younger age groups considering this may be the first time these players play competitive volleyball.
Check the following age chart to determine which age group you fall under for your tryout date & time posted below. Please attend the appropriate age group tryout. We will determine if players need to be moved among age groups.

The registration link will take you to our SportsEngine registration. The tryout fee is $50 plus the SportsEngine processing fee.
IF YOU ARE NEW TO CLUB AND DON’T HAVE A USAV MEMBERSHIP, Please also click on and complete the following link, as well:
USAV Bayou Region Tryout Membership Link
The USAV Bayou Region Tryout Membership needs to be filled out as well. Scroll down and select “Purchase Membership” and it will bring you to their SportsEngine tryout membership registration. It will cover your child for the tryout session under USAV. The tryout membership fee is $10 and will be taken off the USAV Membership for the season if your child makes a team.

Tryout Check-in: Will start 30 min before tryouts and last 15 min; see exact time below.
Orientation: The parent/player meeting will begin 15 min before tryouts and last about 15 min; see exact time below.

17U – 18U

**CALLBACK GROUP EVALUATIONS:
This will be for 13,14,15, & 16U age groups and will take place on Sunday, July 26th between 8:00am-12:00pm. All players of these age groups should plan to attend. Exact times for each group will be given after tryouts on Saturday, July 25th.
MAKEUP TRYOUTS:
Sunday July 19th at Team Sportsplex (7122 Perkins Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70808):
Check in from 6:00pm-6:15pm and tryouts from 6:15-7:15pm
Monday July 27th at Parkview Baptist High School (5750 Parkview Church Rd. Baton Rouge, LA 70816):
10-14U check-in from 7:00pm-7:15pm and tryouts from 7:15-8:15pm
15-18U check-in from 7:00pm-7:15pm and tryouts from 7:15-8:15pm
Please follow all instructions with forms to be filled out through the link provided. All procedures will be the same as the main tryouts. Please keep in mind for optimal showcase of the players’ skills and knowledge, it is HIGHLY recommended the player make every effort to attend the original tryout above. The makeup tryout is harder for us to compare your child to other players when placing them with their appropriate skill level.

TEAM PLACEMENT:
Players will be notified by email if they have made a team by the following Wednesday of tryouts. This email may or may not come from the player’s coach. Team placement for players WILL continue beyond tryouts to ensure we have placed all players with their appropriate experience and ability level.
CLUB POSITION ACCEPTANCE:
Players will receive an invitation email to join our club. Players will accept and secure their positions by following the instructions given through email regarding making first payments online on the date and time required with invite acceptance.
1ST OFFICIAL TEAM PRACTICE:
Players will be notified by email of the date, time, and place. **Practices this year will be held at both Parkview Baptist School and the Team Sportsplex.
